Ringway Infrastructure Services is seeking a Sustainability Manager to lead the development and delivery of sustainability strategies for the Surrey Highways Term Partnering Contract. This role is critical in supporting Ringway’s environmental ambitions, improving sustainability culture, and ensuring the delivery of impactful initiatives across the highways service. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the sustainability strategy and delivery plan for the Surrey Highways division, aligned with environmental and social objectives. Create and deliver training and communication materials to embed sustainability principles across the service, including carbon reduction, circular economy practices, biodiversity protection, pollution prevention, and water conservation. Manage tools and processes to monitor and report on sustainability initiatives and performance, ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements. Work closely with clients, communities, and supply chain partners to implement sustainable methods, materials, and processes. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in sustainability practices within the highways service. Act as the sustainability lead in client meetings, Divisional progress reviews, and wider group initiatives to ensure sustainability objectives are met. Champion a sustainability-focused culture, driving awareness and engagement at all levels of the organisation. About You: We’re looking for an experienced and motivated sustainability professional with: A degree in business, environmental engineering, or sustainability (preferred but not essential). Experience in developing and implementing sustainability processes and systems. Strong client management and performance management skills, particularly on sustainability issues. A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders. Exceptional organisational, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in computer applications and sustainability monitoring tools. Desirable Qualifications and Skills: Diploma in Quality Management or Lean Practitioner certification.
